In an interview with the BIRN, songwriter Rachael Yamagata reveals the key ingredients of her success. Amid a sampling of her latest album, "Elephants...Teeth Sinking Into Hearts," we learn her unique production strategy which made the album "feel like a whisper." We also get an in depth look into some of the musical influences like Stevie Nicks and David Bowie who have influenced her writing. Yamagata has featured many of her songs on T.V series like the O.C, One Tree Hill and Grey's Anatomy and yet the interview leaves us feeling this artist has only just begun her journey.
