Today on The Brosh Pit: guitarist Scott Tarulli in the studio!
Monday, November 19th, 2007Tune in at 2 PM today for a very special edition of The Brosh Pit - I am very excited to have one of my favorite fusion players with me, Scott Tarulli. Scott is a great composer for his own project, and does session work for many other musicians. He is also one of our own great guitar faculty. Today I will be picking his brain for all those things he knows best - improv, tone, composition, his current projects, and everything else guitar. Oh, and we’ll probably also play some music…

I have decided to dedicate my last show of the semester to the classic work of musical art - Pink Floyd’s The Wall. Due to the fact that this is a holy concept album that I dare not disturb, both discs will be played without an interruption of spoken word. This album is about 80 minutes in length, so I will take some time after to talk about the band and the album, as well as play my usual rock programming. Tune in tomorrow from 4-6!
Any Berklee guitarist has surely heard of Steve Vai and Joe Satriani. Yet I have encountered very few who are familiar with one of the best and most underrated guitarists of the genre: Andy Timmons. Due to this phenomenon, I have decided to dedicate this week’s show to Andy’s solo work, as well as his work with Olivia Newton-John and the ’80s glam band Danger Danger. Tune in tomorrow from 4-6 to learn more about this fantastic, versatile guitarist! Go! Get educated!
