Gabriel is a Violinist from Vancouver, Canada. He has toured Canada and Scotland and has released two albums with the North Shore Celtic Ensemble. He has also played across British Colombia with his own indie rock bands and performed for a diverse range of audiences in both folk festivals and concert settings and including a performance for the Governor General of Canada, accumulating over 150 performances. Gabriel is French-Canadian and feels the strength that comes for from exploring his own musical roots and heritage. Incorporating both modern and traditional French Canadian elements in his music, Gabriel has collaborated with bands and orchestras from around the world, both in Vancouver and abroad. Today, Gabriel studies at Berklee College of Music in Boston, MA, and continues to perform with his own bands. He is focussed on his studies and on developing his own unique musical style and his career as a touring musician.
What can I say about Chris Turmel/DJ Kermitt. Well there is alot to be said. Orgininally from Methuen, Massachusetts, he mas been involved with playing music all his life playing in anything from church choirs to punk bands to jazz big bands. After going to UMass Lowell for a brief stint, he came to Berklee and found a place amongst the amazing muscians and people that dwell in his surrogate home Boston. Now that he is on the BIRN, DJ Kermitt has only one earth shatteringly important goal he wants to achieve... To get everyone one up and dancing to the music.
Coming far across the Atlantic, form a place called Macedonia, Ben MIlchev is a bass player, a recording engineer, music producer and a first semester student at Berklee. He enjoys listening to many different genres of music, but jazz, rock, funk and blues are his favorite. Jamiroquai, Weather Report, and the Chili Peppers are just a few out of many influences that make him the musician he is today, and the one he strives to be.
