Tatum Flemister is a young, talented musician from Columbus, OH (Via Kingston, JA). From his early childhood, it was clear that music would be a big part of his life. He began to play drums when he was two years old, banging on pots and pans in the kitchen. His mom bought him his first drum set when he was three, and things took off from there.
Throughout the Columbus community, Tatum has been a part of many groups and events. When he was just and 8th grader, he was chosen to be a part of “Q-Stix”, which is the official drumline for the Cleveland Cavaliers. He was a member of the Saints Drumline for seven years, where he was a section leader for over four years. He played trumpet in the Columbus Youth Jazz Studio Ensemble for two years, as well as the All-Ohio State Fair Band for two years where he was a percussionist. In 2012, he was appointed to be the house musician for the” ArtAndPoetic Soul Lounge” where he played piano and drum set. From that opportunity, he was asked to make guest appearances with local bands and acts like the Charles Cooper Quartet, The Liquid Crystal Project, HAWC and The Few, and EV Jones. He is also the third recipient of the Rahsaan Roland Kirk Music Scholarship through Columbus City Schools. Tatum’s future hopes and ambitions are to become a touring and session artist in various styles of music
