Does today’s music sometimes make you wish you could go back to your childhood days where the quality of music was really on point? When the artists were really saying something with substance? Don’t worry, he got you. DJ Hardaway is dedicated to giving you R&B/Hip Hop hits that you love from the early 2000 era back to the 50’s. So, you may even get a little history lesson from the music he’ll be bringing to your ears but first a quick history on the DJ.
DJ Hardaway is one of the new DJ’s from the Summer ‘08 broadcast returning for yet another semester of G.O.O.D. Music. He hails from the Bronx, NY and San Antonio, Texas. He is a 3rd Semester Bass Voice Principle and Professional Music Major at the Berklee College of Music with an emphasis on songwriting, production and business. He sings, plays (on piano and keyboard), writes, arranges and produces R&B, Hip Hop and Gospel. He’s performed with The Harlem Boys Choir, Aretha Franklin, Kathleen Battle, Whitney Houston, Don Irwin, Bootsy Collins and many others by the grace of God.
He’ll be bringing you the hits from Aaliyah, TLC, Luther Vandross, B.I.G., 2Pac, Monica, Brandy, Jodeci, Boyz II Men, Shai, SWV, Ray Charles, Chaka Khan, Public Enemy, Aretha Franklin, Diana Ross and the Supremes, Sugarhill Gang, Jagged Edge, Run DMC, Toni Braxton, Michael Jackson, En Vogue and others. When he says he’s taking you back, HE’S REALLY TAKING YOU BACK!!!!!!
He’ll also be playing select records from the here and now that he feels that you NEED to know about such as Ryan Leslie, Jazmine Sullivan, Esthero and others.
